Introduced in 2006 and retired in 2012, the pair of clear Mandarin Ducks was designed by Anton Hirzinger for the Feathered Friends theme group.
Both ducks have faceted clear crystal bodies and Smoked Topaz crystal eyes. The beak of the female duck is Light Smoked Topaz, while the colourful drake features a Topaz crystal beak, Light Topaz wing feathers, and an unfaceted crest in Tourmaline crystal.
The pair comes with a clear crystal base, approx 3 1/4" wide, designed to look like a pond. The birds are not attached to the base, so they can be displayed with or without the base (see photos).
We did feel some rough edges on both birds, and both have some pinpoint fleabites. The base has some tiny scratches, likely from being displayed (closeup photos coming soon).
