The SCS 2017 Golden Shadow Annual Edition Star / Snowflake Christmas Ornament is the ninth in the series. Designed by Verena Castelein, it was only available to SCS members during 2017.

Measuring approximately 3 x 2 3/8 x 1/4 inches, the Golden Shadow faceted crystal star features six long and six short extensions. It has a silver-tone metal tag with the year 2017, and a golden satin ribbon for hanging on the tree or an ornament display.

In 2017 no triangular COA was issued.
